Bulk pick-up is provided one Friday a month (find out when yours is on our collection map). From May through August, residents can call 333-4800 or use Dayton Delivers to schedule an additional biweekly bulk pick-up.
Bulk waste pick-ups must be scheduled in advance by phone or the City’s app. Residents can call between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. to request a pick up and identify the types of materials to be collected. The crew report, listing the types of items to be collected, is finalized at 2 p.m. the day before the scheduled pick-up, so no new items are permitted to be added to the list after that time.
Bulk waste items are to be set out after 3:00 p.m. of the day before the scheduled pick-up. City crews begin pick-ups at 7 a.m.
Bulk Waste Guidelines:
You must separate your metal items (stoves, refrigerators, etc.) from other bulk items. Remember to remove refrigerator doors.
All loose and small items must be securely contained, bundled or bagged for easy pickup.
Sorry, the City cannot pick up concrete, rocks, brick blocks, sand, gravel, grass clippings or hazardous waste.
Yard waste (brush, hedges, tree limbs, etc.) must be tied into bundles not larger than 4 feet long and 18 inches in diameter.
Bundles are limited to 25 pounds each.
