Tree Pruning Tips

Trees are an important part of the visual appeal of any neighborhood. They provide relief from the climate, a visual break from the pavement, a softening of the streetscape, and an economic value to private property. Street trees that form large canopies also help define the streetscape and improve the overall image of a neighborhood.

Trees should typically be pruned on a regular basis, in a way that does not disturb the natural proportion of the tree, leads to creating an attractive tree canopy, and eliminates any hazardous situations.

Below are links to tips on how and when to best prune your trees.
