The City of Dayton typically has several road construction and repair projects occurring at any given time.  Below are the existing or upcoming road repair/construction projects requiring potential closings and detours during this construction season. Please make a note of these projects as you travel throughout the community.

Steve Whalen Bikeway
This project consists of installing a bike path on Steve Whalen Boulevard from Hamilton Avenue to Wyoming Street. Construction is expected to begin in April of 2013, with completion in June of 2013.

Southeast Bikeway
This project consists of construction of a bikeway from Irving Avenue to the South Corporation Limit (near Shroyer Road). Construction is expected to begin in February of 2013, with completion in July of 2013.
 

Large Diameter Sanitary Liner Installation
This project consists of lining sanitary sewers on Webster Street, Hoover Avenue, Blueberry Avenue, and Brumbaugh Blvd. Construction began in September of 2012, with completion expected in December of 2013. 

Henry Street, Drummer Avenue & Samuel Street Water Main Improvements
This project consists of installing new water mains on Henry Street, Drummer Avenue, and Samuel Street. Construction began in September of 2012, with completion expected in December of 2013. 

Broadway Bridge Project
This project consists of the replacement of the Broadway Street Bridge over Wolf Creek. Construction began in October of 2012, with completion expected in November of 2013.
 

2012-2013 Sanitary Liner Installation
This project consists of lining approximately 9,000 linear feet of sanitary sewers citywide. Construction began in May of 2012, with completion expected in December of 2013. 

     

 

James H. McGee Boulevard Rehabilitation Phase III
This project consists of pavement rehabilitation on James H. McGee Boulevard from Brooklyn Avenue to Gettysburg Avenue. Construction began in July of 2012, with completion expected in May of 2013.

Murray Hill Water Main Improvements
This project consists of installing new water mains on Murray Hill Drive and East Second Street. Construction began in May of 2012, with completion expected in September of 2012.
 

Safe Routes to School Project
This project consists of the installation of walkability enhancements in Fairview Park for the new Fairview School. Construction is expected to begin in February of 2013, with completion in July of 2013.
