The Division of Civil Engineering is responsible for the design, construction, and management of public facility infrastructure projects.

Civil Engineering ensures the integrity of the City’s public right of way, and the safe and efficient movement of pedestrians and vehicles by planning, designing, constructing and managing bridges, sidewalks, alleys and streets, as well as maintaining nearly 400 traffic signals throughout the city.

Address and lot assignment are also Civil Engineering functions and are performed by the GIS mapping section.
