In these past few months, a considerable amount of construction has continued on the Stewart St. Bridge. The primary focus has been on completing the forward abutment, the concrete work for piers 4 and 5 on the east side, and timely composition of the uniquely shaped upper stems.

Thus far, all concrete work has been completed for piers four and five, and the forward abutment. Currently, crews are finishing up the upper stem of pier four and preparing work on pier six. In pier six, the contractor is beginning to break ground and excavate the area for the footer, as well as driving sheeting in the area to provide a dry cofferdam to work in.
