Downtown Repaving Schedule 


The City of Dayton has implemented a major undertaking -- the grinding and repaving of several streets in downtown Dayton. Below is the anticipated schedule for this project. This schedule does not indicate weather delays; therefore, if  weather conditions cause a missed day of scheduled work, the schedule will adjust to accommodate that day.

Grinding Wilkinson (Fourth to Sixth) Wilkinson to Main
(Note: This completes the grinding portion.)

Complete Paving Wilkinson (Fourth to Sixth)
Begin Paving Sixth (Wilkinson to Main)

(Note: This completes the paving portion.)

Grinding and paving should be completed by the end of the workday on Friday, October 22.

Pavement marking layout has begun on the repaved streets. Pavement marking striping should be completed on all paved streets by Friday, October 29. Rain may extend the completion date. 

Sidewalk and Curb Repairs

  • South Main work will be completed by Tuesday, October 19.
  • East Second, between Jefferson and Patterson (both sides), will be complete before October 29.
  • Sidewalk and curb repairs on Mead will begin the week of October 18 and should take one week to complete.
  • Beginning the week of October 25, crews will start on East First Street and work southward to perform spot repairs.

It is anticipated that all sidewalk and curb repairs will be completed by Thanksgiving, weather permitting.
