The Dayton Police Department is now accepting applications for our third Police and Clergy Together Academy.  This initiative will continue to partner our faith-based community with our Dayton Police Officers.  After graduation from the Academy, PACT members will focus on three things:

  1. Praying for our Dayton Police Officers along with our community
  2. Building and improving relationships with our Dayton Police Officers
  3. Serving citizens and officers in need through pastoral callouts

To be a part of the PACT initiative, you must attend the PACT Academy hosted by the Dayton Police Department, which will consist of three hour training sessions held on Thursday afternoons from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., beginning February 27, 2014, and concluding on May 22, 2014 (no class will be held on April 17, 2014).  To participate in the PACT initiative, 9 out of 12 sessions must be attended.

Selection Process

We will be accepting applications from ordained faith-based leaders until February 14, 2014.  The size of the class will be limited, so please respond quickly to ensure your place in the PACT Academy.  Applicants will be background checked and notified of acceptance no later than February 21, 2014.   Please click here to apply online.

Along with the training topics shown below, PACT Academy attendees will have the opportunity to spend one training session on our firearms range, which includes shooting a firearm.
