The Dayton Police Department is now accepting applications for our second Police & Clergy Together Academy. This initiative will continue to partner our faith-based community with our Dayton Police Officers. PACT will focus on three things:
- Praying for our Dayton Police Officers along with our community
- Building and improving relationships with our Dayton Police Officers
- Serving citizens and officers in need through pastoral callouts
To be a part of the PACT initiative, you must attend the PACT Academy hosted by the Dayton Police Department, which will consist of three hour training sessions held on Thursday afternoons from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., beginning February 28, 2013, and concluding in early May. To participate in the PACT initiative, 8 out of 10 sessions must be attended.
We will be accepting applications from ordained faith-based leaders until February 14, 2013. The size of the class will be limited, so please respond quickly to ensure your place in the PACT Academy. Along with the below training topics, PACT Academy attendees will have the opportunity to spend one training session on our firearms range, which includes shooting a firearm.
