EITC Works for Families, Workers and the Dayton Economy!
During tax-filing season, income-eligible Dayton residents are reminded to take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit as a way to boost refunds on federal tax returns.
Commissioner Dean Lovelace is leading the effort to encourag
e eligible residents to take advantage of these under-used federal tax credits.
“The Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit are excellent ways for lower wage-earners to save money or get money back on their tax returns,” Commissioner Lovelace said. “It is very important for Dayton residents to apply for these credits when filing federal tax returns, and there is free help available to prepare and submit tax forms.”
