Community Affairs

Community Affairs staff develop the City's human services policies and plan program and policy initiatives in areas of youth development, workforce development and poverty reduction. Community Affairs advocates for the human services needs of City residents of all ages through our participation on regional human service boards and funding committees. A few of the many initiatives Community Affairs supports are the Dayton Area Earned Income Tax Credit (ETIC) Campaign, Easy Steps to Grow Great Kids, and the 10-Year Plan for Ending Chronic Homelessness. Community Affairs staff also manage the City's Shelter Plus Care (S+C) funds, and the City's contributions to non-profit agencies.
