By responding to the 2010 Census, you will help the Dayton community take full advantage of federal support and funding for roads, utility systems, police and fire protection, public health, education and more. Because Dayton counts!

New:  Listen to an audio spot now playing on public transportation in Dayton.

The Census matters in Dayton for many reasons. A full count of our citizens will help Dayton receive its fair share of more than $400 billion of federal funds yearly for essential needs and community development. A complete Census count will also help minimize Ohio's anticipated loss of Congressional representation.

You can help by responding to the short Census questionnaire mailed to your home in March 2010. The Census form is simplified and confidential. But we can't move forward until you mail it back!

To understand why the Census asks particular questions, read here.

For more on the 2010 Census and why it matters to all Americans, visit the official Census site or the official Spanish-language site.
