Use 'ReportIt' to Document Personal Possessions

Dayton residents can use the online "ReportIt" system to easily document household, personal or business possessions in case they are lost or stolen. ReportIt offers a free account to store item descriptions, serial numbers, photos and other identifying information that will be helpful for police and insurance companies. It’s important to store this kind of information online because home computers are themselves often targeted by thieves. Knowing what you own could be the difference between recovering and not recovering missing property. Data kept in ReportIt is strictly private; law enforcement agencies do not have access to user accounts. For more information or to set up an account, go to www.reportit.leadsonline.com.
