Through the Human Relations Council, the City of Dayton implements ordiances and programs that provide procurement opportunities for Minority, Female, and Small/Disadvantaged Business Enterprises under Sections 35.30-35.68 of the City of Dayton's R.C.G.O.
For Minority Business Enterprises (MBE/African American owned and controlled) on an annual basis the city will make available for MBE's, on competitive bidding, 5% of the total expenditure by the city of the procurement of goods and services. Only MBE's certified by the Human Relations Council may participate.
