Division of Revenue and Taxation
The Division of Revenue and Taxation administers and enforces the 2.25% City income tax ordinance, provides income tax administration services, collects all account receivables, performs the billing function and is responsible for meter reading for the City’s water enterprise.
This Division has four (4) sections to serve the public: Collections annually bills over $44 million in Accounts Receivable accounts including airport, water, sewer, EMS, lighting, waste container and disposal fees and other revenues and collects all special assessments and; Billing & Meter Reading annually reads and bills over 60,000 water meters; Customer Service receives nearly 290,000 calls each year answering inquires on Water and Tax Accounts; and, Compliance ensures that all citizens pay their fair share of income tax.
