Senior Property Tax Credit

On March 14, 2006, Dayton residents voted to renew a $50-per-year property tax credit for all senior and disabled homeowners. This is essentially a reduction in your annual property tax bill.  As a homeowner within the corporate boundaries of the City of Dayton, you may be eligible to receive the Dayton Property Tax Credit.

To qualify for the tax credit, you must have owned and occupied your home in Dayton as your principal place of residence as of January 1 of this year.  You also must be 60 years of age on or before December 31 of this year, OR be permanently and totally disabled.

If you meet these qualifications, please contact the City of Dayton’s Division of Accounting and Treasury at 333-3588 to apply for the property tax credit or click here.
