Joint Economic Development Districts (JEDDs) provide a long-term opportunity to promote beneficial economic development through regional cooperation. JEDDs are an economic development tool that allows Cities and Township’s collaboration to encourage business growth and development.
The JEDD is a quasi-governmental organization that is supported by the income tax from people and businesses that work and operate in the JEDD. These revenues will be reinvested in the District to facilitate new business opportunities and could be used to build new roadways and infrastructure.
