Partners in Development The City of Dayton is proud to partner with the State of Ohio through the Clean Ohio program. Through Clean Ohio, the City has been able to conduct environmental assessments and remediation of important brownfield development sites in the city. A brownfield is an abandoned or under-used industrial or commercial property where redevelopment is complicated by known or potential releases of hazardous substances.
Success Some of our successful projects include Tech Town, the Caldwell Street site at UD, the Mendelson Project, the West Side Chevy Building, the ESI site, the Howard Paper site, the former Nibco Foundry, Centre City, the Concord Foods site, and the new Goodwill Easter Seals project. Please click the links above for more information on these projects. The City is currently developing a strategic plan for future brownfield projects.
