Investigations and Administrative Services
Our goal is to reduce crime in the City of Dayton and surrounding areas. This reduction will then hopefully lead to enhanced safety and a better quality of life for the citizens of Dayton.
It is our mission to conduct thorough follow-up investigations on all reported criminal matters that are generated by Patrol Operations personnel. Detectives pursue appropriate charges with the Prosecutors’ Offices and navigate the charges through the courts.
The Investigations and Administrative Services Division oversees the Central Investigations Bureau, Narcotics Bureau, Police Academy, and Records Section.
