West Dayton Development Fund
Legacy The City receives money from landfill fees which is split on a 50-50 basis between the General Fund and the West Dayton Development Fund (WDDF). Since 2001, the Office of Economic Development has managed the limited resources of the WDDF to advance economic and community development in West Dayton in accordance with the priorities set by the City Manager’s Office and the City Commission.
Focus We focus on projects that have a sustaining economic or community impact for the residents of West Dayton. The fund's annual income allocation is divided as follows:
- 30% for Economic Development
- 30% for Housing, Youth Employment, and Community Development
- 25% for Target Areas
- 15% for City Commission Discretionary Projects
Eligibility The eligible areas for funding are the Innerwest and Southwest Priority Board areas, which includes Target Areas immediately impacted by the landfill and identified as Highview Hills, Stoney Ridge, Madden Hills, Germantown Meadows, Miami Chapel, Pineview, Lakeview and Fairlane.
