Sweeping & Mowing

The City of Dayton sweeps more than 12,000 miles of streets, from February through October. Residential streets are swept twice annually, thoroughfares are swept six times annually, expressways are swept three times annually, and the Central Business District is swept each weeknight. 

The City mows vacant lands throughout the city two or three times yearly, generally from May through October. 

Following is the street sweeping and lot mowing schedule for the week of October 24, 2016, weather permitting.

Vacant Land

The City will begin mowing vacant lots in May 2017.
